The founders of GoodGirlPR, HipHopCloset, AllHipHop, and top production company The Oracle Media collaborated to produce a fashion show representing 50 years of hip-hop fashion. The event was extraordinary event for hip-hop enthusiasts and fashion influencers.
“The event finally came to fruition as a truly unique and special occasion, celebrating both the rich history of hip-hop and the fashion that has evolved alongside it, and Pete Rock, one of my favorite producers, which was the icing on the cake for me,” describes Nickie Robinson, Founder of GoodGirlPR, one of the best public relations firms in the United States and beyond.
Brooklyn, New York, home of some of hip-hop’s greatest artists is where the event was held and a hub for hip-hop culture. The location solidified the event’s authenticity and the relevance of the celebration. Luxury car brand PORSCHE was the ultimate event location because it provided a touch of glamour to the occasion, bringing an upscale and stylish atmosphere for the attendees.

“Hip-hop and fashion are blood related and it was great to celebrate the culture and the amazing style that’s sprung out of it over the last 50 years,” exclaims Chuck Creekmur, Founder of the legendary hip-hop website, AllHipHop.com.
Some hip-hops legends like Pete Rock and Steele of Smif-N-Wessun (Cocoa Brovaz) added star power to the event, which reminded the attendees how deep-rooted in hip-hop the event was. Fashion influencers and bloggers were along the runway which highlighted the impact hip-hop has on trends and styles.
DJ T. Boogie provided the soundtrack for the night. Spectators were treated to a mixed blend of music that consistently kept the energy high and maintained an electric atmosphere. Bartenura cocktails provided a touch of elegance to the evening, giving the attendees the ability to enjoy the celebration in style while viewing models styled by Khalilah Clark on behalf of the HipHopCloset.
This event marked the 25th anniversary of HipHopCloset and AllHipHop, signifying an important milestone in their respective journeys within the hip-hop industry. This achievement alone provided a testament to their consistent influence and contributions to hip-hop.
“This year we are celebrating 25 years of being in business while also celebrating five decades of hip-hop. This fashion show was our love letter to the culture and the iconic moments that we have had over the years. It was important to us to highlight the clothing in an authentic and relatable way and showcase the luxurious side of hip-hop fashion,” explains Kyiesha Kelly, owner of HipHopCloset.
