As we prepare for the holidays, a number of us are thinking of where to shop, what to buy for ourselves and our loved ones and who we want to spend our money with. So with that knowledge, we decided to feature some of our favorites, Black owned businesses that we support and believe in and are certain you will appreciate. We called Debbie Hardy of Martine’s Dream, David Gandy & MarQuerite Hamden of Ecowrist, Kimone Young of 84Gem and Margie Toney of Style Eyes Optical to schedule a shoot to continue our mission of featuring Black owned businesses across New York city and beyond. We reached out to respected photographers Dar Es Salaam and Toni Dubois to capture the day and project the amazing energy of these beautiful Black entrepreneurs making there mark individually and collectively.
I invite you to take this journey with us.
