Harlem New York— One of the biggest cultural celebrations in the countryis Harlem week, which continue throughout the entire month of August. This past Sunday, the event kicks off its 44th annual Celebration with its,“Great Day in Harlem” at Grants Tomb.
Known for its diversity, this year festivity brings out approximately thirty thousand people to revel in the cultural soul of Harlem. From fashion to food, from craft to music, there was something for everyone young and old.
The month long celebrations hosts events that are spread across the entire Harlem community. This years theme,” Women Transforming Our World” is a month long celebration which will acknowledge women from the past to the present in their fields and the contributions they have made to society.
