Sadraine Gordon is originally from St Mary in Jamaica, and was a Constituency Executive Assistant to the Most Honorable Robert Montague, while he was Local Government Minister. She was also project manager for the Center of Excellence, a visual adult literacy initiative whose program was an agreement between the Cuban and Jamaican Governments. She also worked at the Transport Authority in Tower Isle’s St Mary, N.E.M Insurance Company in Port Maria and was the creator and producer of the award-winning Caribbean Talk Show “ Uncensored Rhymes and Reason” a bold exploration of topical issues affecting Caribbean Nationals in the Tri-State.
She was recognized with a citation and proclamation declaring August 21st “Uncensored Rhymes and Reason Day in Brooklyn NY USA by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams for her contribution to New York on behalf of the Caribbean culture. She also received a citation by Brooklyn Councilman Alan Maisel for her contribution not only to the Borough but to all of New York.
Miss Gordon is currently the Community Relations Officer (CRO at the Consulate General of Jamaica in New York.) She oversees community outreach to the network of Jamaican communities across the 33 States in the United States, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico under the Consulate’s Jurisdiction. Miss Gordon has a strong background in Media and community relations and plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the Consulate and the community.
