DUMBO, BROOKLYN— Mayor Bill de Blasio and his wife, Charlene, joined two former New York City Council members to celebrate their birthdays in grand style on Friday December 2nd.
Dr. Una S.T Clarke, who is celebrating her 82nd birthday this year was joined by her daughter, congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke, who also turned 51 late November. The mother and daughter duo were smiling as they appeared before friends and family including the mayor and his wife.

Dr. Clarke glowed in an all gold two- piece suit while the younger Clarke, who is currently serving in the newly created 9th congressional district, went with an off the shoulder black dress.
As they made their way through the audience, they shook hands and embraced friends and family who wished the former city council members more years and success.
Other attendees of the night included two fellow congressional colleagues, Queens congressman Gregory Meeks of the 6th congressional district and Hakeem Jeffries Brooklyn 8th congressional district. Assemblywoman Diana Richards of 43rd district in Brooklyn and council member Laurie Combo of 35th district.
