Barrington Burke-Green is the newly appointed President and CEO of the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island. Since joining the VNA in 2004, Mr. Burke-Green has managed and facilitated both the administrative and professional staff within the organization who promote health and wellness services to families in their homes and communities and provide skilled nursing, therapies and related health care services to residents of Staten Island – the city’s fastest-growing borough. Mr. Burke-Green is now responsible for directing and overseeing all departments including Patient Care Management, Legal Affairs, Risk Management, Human Resources, BoardGovernance andGovernment Affairs with the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island.
Barrington Burke-Green is the proud father of three children; two boys and one girl. He is a Ph.D. candidate with Walden University and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health CareManagement/International Business from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Barrington Burke-Green grew up in a Jamaican household. His favorite quote is the Kingston College School motto, “The Brave May Fall But Never Yield.” Mr. Burke-Greenis a true Renaissance man and performer extraordinaire. Through the years, he has donated his talents and services to Missionaries of the Poor – a Jamaica-based world-wide service agency. His compassion for helping those in need led him to a career in the healthcare industry which has spanned more than 25 years. Mr. Burke-Green made a name for himself in the medical professional industry by pioneering HealthWatch-Lifeline – personal emergency response systems.
With strong technical and business qualifications and an impressive track record of hands-on experience in strategic business planning, healthcare management, marketing and customer relationship management, business unit development, project and product management, and system engineering strategies; Mr. Burke-Green is proud to accept the CEO position of the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island.

In addition to his responsibilities at VNA, Mr. Burke-Green is an Associate member of Missionaries of the Poor. He serves as a Cabinet member for the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation. Additionally, he proudly volunteers his time to serve on the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels of Staten Island, and Kingston College Old Boys Association.
