Businessman, Philanthropist, Community Leader, Promoter are just a few of the hats that Sephron Mair wears, but “Born Jamaican” is the one he wears most proudly.
A graduate of CAST/Utech, Sephron worked at the Jamaica Industrial Development Corporation and The National Housing Trust, two agencies devoted to improving Jamaica and Jamaicans.
Migrating and settling in New York in 1982, he furthered his studies at Baruch College with BA in Business Administration/CPA. He’s one of the founders of CAST/Utech Alumni NY-Chapter and served as the first president. He also served as the Treasurer of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Association (UJAA).
He formed The Signature Society which curates and promotes some of the most sought-after upscale events in New York. The Signature Society has adopted Food for the Poor as their main beneficiary. Other significant beneficiaries are Feeding Westchester and Connecticut Foodshare. In March of 2023 Sephron kicked off a fundraising campaign to build a burn unit in Jamaica with a donation. The campaign has been a success since the kick-off.
Sephron’s life philosophy is “do as much as you can for as many as you can for as long as you can”.
